Summer

Hey everyone! I haven't posted an acrostic poem in a while, how about one for Summer...
S-Seriously lovin' the fresh fruits and veggies!
U-Umbrella pick in my ice cold drink? Why yes, thank you.
M-Meet me in Cape May, if only for the day.
M-Men grilling out, do encourage that often:@)
E-Each sunset is worth remembering.
R-Run through the grass barefoot at least once!
Don't forget the sunscreen and have a happy day:@)

  2. You're so right about the sunsets, and I do believe I'll take you up on the barefoot in the grass.

  5. You are so good at these Lynn. I have been bare foot in the grass several times. I seem to run off the deck without my shoes without thinking.

  10. Oh yes - could I add sleeping in to the S? One of my favorite things about summer!

Seriously lovin' your Betsy Ross Pie! It looks awesome! Both versions do! Might have to borrow that idea.

  11. I hope you enjoy the lovely warm summer days that you describe in your poem. Can you send some sunshine my way? It's been a very cold and rainy winter over here in Australia and I need a bit of warmth!

Best wishes for a wonderful week,
    Natasha

  18. You said it very well...only our grass is so dry that it hurts my feet to run through it right now. We need some of that rain that is stuck in Florida sent to Illinois! The funny thing is that this year, with the warm weather starting in March, I feel like it has been summer for a long time. It is going to be such a shock when it isn't warm and pretty anymore!

  19. Love your poem, Lynn! It's starting to get REALLY hot down here in Texas. I'm hoping it's not as brutal as last year...yikes!!! I'd like to be taking a dip with Mr. Pig (is that Earl's cousin?) as it looks pretty good right about now.

  21. I really liked the poem. Cape May and Point Pleasant were two of our summer haunting spots when we lived on the East coast. Loved them both, but for different reasons. Have a great evening. Blessings...Mary
