This is a stained glass panel that uses both traditional stained glass and fused glass techniques. There are nine fused glass pieces (or pictures) in this panel. I cut and shape a picture out of colored glass, then lay it on a piece of clear glass and fire it in a kiln up to 1650 degrees. The kiln time is over 5 hours, the "design" time can be as long! I have a small kiln, so the five bigger pictures all had to be fired individually, the little "candy" accent pieces were fired together.
Bats and Jack-O-Lantern
The Witch is In!
Ghost and Black Cat
The background is a whispy light gray, I think it adds to the Halloween feel.
Have a happy day:@)
