Kitchen Aid Flex Edge Beater

Hey everyone-I got a new kitchen toy! I've always liked the idea of these silicone edge beaters but wanted to wait until Kitchen Aid came out with their own version, well they have.

My review: This beater makes creaming sugar and butter/shortening a dream! And it does scrape down the sides of the bowl nicely. If you need a gift idea for the baker in your life (or for the person that has everything), I think this is a great idea!

They come in two sizes, one for tilt head mixers and one for lift bowl mixers and can be found everywhere from Amazon to Macy's to Williams-Sonoma.

This beater has been Lynn tested and Earl approved!

  23. I have the non Kitchen Aid version and LOVE IT! No more pouring out batter and realizing some is stuck to the bottom of the bowl. I never use the original one any more. Hope you're enjoying the season!

  29. The only thing I don't like about my KA mixer is having to constantly scrape the sides of the bowl. It looks like this will take care of the problem.

  33. I don't have a counter mixer...someday, I would like to get one, tho. Then, maybe I can get this awesome beater.

  34. I bought myself this exact same beater just last week! It works pretty well except I found that it really puffed out the flour from the bowl when I was making cookies, no matter how slowly I started it. Guess I'll have to mix the dry with the wet ingredients a bit more before I turn it on.
It really did a good job of mixing the ingredients away from the sides of the bowl, though.

I think I'll buy one for DD, as well.

    Merry Christmas to you, Lynn!
    Hugs,
    Rett
