Saturday Centus!

So this week for Saturday Centus we have to re-write Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to the theme of In The Autumn. And we only have 32 words to do it including the prompt of In The Autumn... piece of cake:@)

In The Autumn
In the autumn leaves turn gold,
weather's brisk, bonfires bold.
Pumpkins, mums and apple pie,
food so good you'll wanna cry.
In the autumn we are told,
Dress warmly, it's getting cold.

Have a happy day!

  2. Autumn is my favorite season, love the colors and the air carries the scent of the fallen leaves, of the bonfires - and yes, of decay.

Maybe there's something wrong with me, that I like the smells of Fall?

    Great poem!

  4. Another good one! Your poems remind me of the little ditties that my favorite teacher used to read and have us memorize during the seasons.

  13. Yep...everything I love about autumn! Especially breaking out the cold weather clothes. Sigh. It's cool today but we invariably have a bout of Indian summer which is always practically unbearable! Loved your lyrics, btw.

  30. I really like the first two lines of your poem best.

Maybe you can rewrite it to better fit the song by having these two lines repeat at the end. Write something very good for the middle.

    Think about rhythm and rhyme.
    Best wishes,
