Went Junking!

Hey everyone!
Thought I'd stop by the Salvation Army and I'm so glad I did! Last Christmas I saw these dishes on ebay and LOVED them! I don't know what it was, maybe the pretty swirled edge, maybe that they're a bit translucent,
maybe the retro feel...
Whatever "it" was, it wasn't worth $45+ to me! I found the whole set for $4.99 at SA!!! 4 each of lunch plates, soup bowls, cups and saucers, but only 3 dinner plates... I can live with that!
For some reason these dishes just make me happy:@)

  13. I think the reason that I like them (besieds the fact that you got such a score) is that they remind me of something my grandmother might have used when I was younger. They just have that certain look to them. VERY PRETTY, and I'm looking forward to what you're going to do with them.

  26. Okay, everybody needs to join in the hunt to find you one more of those darling dinner plates! They are soooooo vintage & remind me of similar ones my Mom had...sans the Christmas designs. "Milk glass" was what she called them, I think.
    Great Score!

  49. I used to have ONE plate just like those. I kept it for years and then decided since I only had one that I would bless someone else with the lonely little plate and so gave it to a thrift store. They are beautiful dishes and lucky you to find so many of them all together and at such a fantastic price!
