Jalapeno & Cheese Bread -Bread Machine Recipe

If you like jalapenos (and you know I do:@) you'll love this Jalapeno and Cheese Bread recipe! I've made it a couple times now and can't get over how flavorful it is with just a handful of ingredients. And to say it makes the house smell good while baking is an understatement... We all (even my non-heat loving son) enjoyed this bread, it does get my darn good label and will be made often. Especially when chili is on the menu.
I cut the recipe down to 2/3rds so it would work in my one pound Zo bread machine.
You can click the link for the full recipe.

Jalapeno & Cheese Bread-adapted from Allrecipes
2/3 C warm water
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp sugar
up to 1/2 C shredded cheese, Monterey jack or cheddar-I like cheddar
2 large jalapenos, seeded and diced-can add three
2 C A/P flour-I like to mix in/sub up to 1/2 C whole wheat flour
1 1/4 tsp bread machine yeast
  1. Add everything to bread machine in order given.
  2. Choose regular or basic setting (note to self: this works with my quick  bread setting too)
  3. Let 'er rip and serve with butter.
Eat well and have a happy day:@)

  1. Oh, how I LOVE your recipe instructions---the "Let 'er rip" will go right up there with my Mammaw's "spoon-clop of Blue Plate" in the macaroni salad and Miss Robbie's "IM-PEER-ial margarine" in her Nevva-Fail Pound Cake. Smiling this rainy morning just from the images conjured. Stay well and warm, faraway friend. r
