Refashioned Wreath

I like to shop as much as the next person, in fact I joke that if I don't stop at HomeGoods on Saturday they worry:@) But I do also like to use things I already have, sometimes in a new way. This project of weaving a garland of leaves into a wispy evergreen wreath has been on my mind for a while, I tried it this weekend.

Started with this...

And made this for Fall.
 Cost=$0
I'm pleased with the results and have something I can keep up through Thanksgiving,
at that time I'll remove the leaves and use the wreath for Christmas.

  12. Good idea. You can just keep little bins of "wreath updaters" for all the different seasons/events. One for Easter, Valentines Day, Thanksgiving, Fourth of July.
    A great base and a quick change of costumes. Love it.

  23. I got so inspired after seeing your pretty wreath that I pulled stuff out of a back closet and made one today for my porch. May I use the photo of yours in my post? Sure would appreciate it...:))

  24. What a metamorphosis, Lynn! I never would have thought that was a Christmas wreath underneath...I'd have guessed you used a blank canvas, such as a grapevine wreath. Your wreath is pretty and it looks a lot like the one I have on my front door that I made several years ago.

  26. That really does look nice. Fall leaves are so colorful and you've got the right idea! I should try to find a basic wreath that I can change up. I sure don't have any storage! Happy Fall!

  30. This is a wonderful idea! In fact, I think it's one of the best fall decorating ideas I've seen, and I like that when winter comes you can convert it back to a Christmas wreath. Very clever!

  32. Wonderful wreath, Lynn! I like to use what I have on hand too. I have my wreath ready to hang on the door but can't just yet because they are filling in the ditches on my street and there is red mud everywhere. Don't want my pumpkins or wreath getting covered with red dust. Thanks for sharing your wreath and Happy Autumn.

    Blessings,
    Sandi
